Food for Life Tasmania was founded in 2019 out of a heartfelt desire to serve the growing needs within our local community. 

 

Run solely by volunteers from the small town of Cygnet, we meet weekly in a commercial kitchen to prepare vegetarian and vegan meals. These meals are available for free to anyone in need of nutritious food. 

 

Additionally, they can be purchased at a low price by those looking for a convenient meal option. By buying one of our meals, you are helping to provide a meal for someone who cannot afford one.

We have recently completed our commercial kitchen with many thanks to Mitre 10, Bendigo Bank, Honda Foundation and the many volunteers who helped. This kitchen supports our work to supply and distribute meals to those who need them.
